Martin named PRC Outstanding Professional of the Year in Nursing

Dr. Neil M. Martin, PhD, MAN, RN, MBED, Associate Professor at the College of Health Sciences (CHS), Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), was honored as one of the awardees during the 52nd Philippine Regulation Commission (PRC) Founding Anniversary Gabi ng Parangal, held on June 23, 2025, at the Pearlmont Hotel, Limketkai Drive, Cagayan de Oro City.
Dr. Martin received the PRC Outstanding Professional of the Year Award 2025 in the field of Health and Nursing, conferred by the PRC Council of Accredited Professional Organizations (APO). This prestigious award is the highest recognition given by the PRC to professionals who have demonstrated exceptional competence, integrity, and dedication to their profession.
This year’s ceremony carried the theme “Pride in Service, Respect for Duty, Commitment to Professional Excellence.” The event recognized top professionals across various disciplines, while also presenting Special Awards to outstanding professional organizations.
Organized in collaboration with the APOs, Accredited and Integrated Professional Organizations (AIPOs), and Professional Organizations (POs), the Gabi ng Parangal aimed to celebrate the achievements of exemplary professionals. The awards not only honor individual excellence but also highlight the professionals' valuable contributions to their communities, provinces, and the broader Region X.
Dr. Martin’s recognition brings pride to MSU-IIT and further affirms CHS’s commitment to nurturing excellence and leadership in health and nursing education.
