MSU-IIT brings another international conference to its premises by hosting the 11th ASEAN Council of Physical Education and Sport (ACPES) International Conference set to take place from October 1–3, 2025.
Foregrounding the theme, “Influencing the Future of Sports, Health, and Physical Education: Bridging Science, Technology, and Well-being," this gathering will be a space for educators and researchers across Southeast Asia to share their knowledge and expertise in the fields of sport, physical education, and sports science.
Paper submissions will feature and explore the following sub-categories: (1) Physical Activity, Health, and Well-Being, (2) Sports Science and Performance Enhancement, (3) Physical Education: Innovation and Pedagogy, (4) Sports Management, Policy, and Ethics, (5) Inclusive and Adaptive Physical Activity, (6) Coaching, Leadership, and Athlete Development, (7) Digital Sports, Esports, and Physical Activity, (8) Dance Science, Performance, and Education, (9) Cultural Perspectives in Physical Activity and Sport, (10) Outdoor Education, Recreation, and Leisure.
This year, the conference will feature keynote speakers with varying expertise on physical education and overall human well-being. Among them are Associate Professor Dr. Koh Koon Teck, Associate Professor at the National Institute of Education, Singapore, and ACPES Advisor; Emmanuel Rene S. Ayo, Assistant to the President for Sports and Development at Lyceum of the Philippines University and Coordinator for Mindanao at the Philippine Sports Commission, Philippines; and Dr. Zason Chian Lit Khoon, Deputy Head and Senior Lecturer at the National Institute of Education, Singapore, and ACPES President.
Invited speakers include Prof. Dr. Ephrime B. Metillo, Vice Chancellor for Research and Enterprise at èßäAV, Philippines; Prof. Dr. Tandiyo Rahayu, M.Pd., Professor at the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Universitas Negeri Semarang, Indonesia; and Dr. Roxana Dev Omar, Senior Lecturer at Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia.
This three-day event will be filled with discussions and interactive activities, promoting global partnerships and strengthening awareness of health and well-being, and sport and physical education. To conclude, participants will be treated to a tour around the city.
